Citibank Plus - No Fee No Overseas Transaction Fee Account

I received an email an hour ago from Citibank and from a quick look, from what I understand, there is going to be a 2.5% transaction fee for all overseas ATM withdrawals from the beginning of March. Am I reading this correctly? Is our precious cards no longer free of fees? /sob

You can stop crying, page 24 specifically says it's excluded from the fee.

But doing a direct deposit to an account with a different bank in Australia gets a $10 fee? They cannot be serious...I guess I'll just send everyone cheques again!

It is not a direct credit as most people know. It's RTGS.

I'm having no luck finding an ATM in coughet that doesn't charge THB150 (~AUD5) for each withdrawel.

You need a citibank ATM if you have a citibank card, or any AEON ATM otherwise.

Not sure if either of those exist in coughet, give me a sec to look on a computer.

After a quick search. Citi doesn't show any, could have been my search parameters.
AEON are in Central Festival Shopping Mall and in BIG C mall, apparently.

I've tried a number of ATMs and eventually gave up. I haven't seen an AEON anywhere.

No, it's fee free normal transfers in Aust or to international bank accounts. I use it every week.

Sorry if it's been asked before but this is an important question. I can send money to international bank accounts great, but where do I do the initial FX ? in Australia or In this instance of sending money to EU( Germany) does it go as AUD $ first.

I prefer to send Euros from Oz ( do the fx exchange here) as there will be no transaction or FX fees in The EU.

Is this possible?

Every bank will ask you what currency you are remitting with. Every bank will ask you this question, and will require you to answer. So Citibank is no exception.

Hi marki, when remitting you can choose either an amount in euro and than it will convert it to aud for you, or select an aud amount and it will convert it to euro for you. Yes, I send euros from here as there is no incoming fee to my euro bank for receiving euros (like yours), so your question makes sense.

Notably, there is the existence of both the chip and paywave.



I've been out of the loop, but to me this is the first look at the new design.

What is the point of V.me? It seems to resemble storing card details inside a paypal account.

I got my card about 2 months ago and it was still the old design. So no pay wave or chip. Good to see they are catching up.

My card came in December too (28Deg changes prompted the switch) and I have the old design too.
