BTW, can i confirm that these citibank points can be transferred into KF? seems like so in the previous threads but want to be doubly sure. And i assume the transfers wont be a problem like QFF? as its not opting out of default?

And the KF is something you can tranfer to like the AMEX? (minimum 5000, do whenever etc?)

thanks very much :)

You can transfer online. Just have to enter your Krisflyer Number.

Must be in multiples of 15,000 points = 10,000 KF points.

Sweet, thanks for the confirmation. pity about the ratio... :p

What matters is the end result achieved.

You can transfer to QF at 1:1, but dues to QF's on the whole poor redemption rates you will get a lot less and in particular if you want to fly J or F.

Yes Citi is excellent conversion it seems for both Emirates and Asia miles but I have first hand experience with SQ Kris only. Let me tell you that 1.33 is exciting for Kris points.
I am using them to get home from America in 10 days time through Singapore.....very nice use of points.

So the conversion is 1:1.33? that i guess offsets the amount of tax you have to pay for the "free" ticket. SIA is a nice airline to fly with tho.

that ratio is only with select card isnt it.

On Select you get 1.33 per dollar spent with no cap to SQ Kris uncapped so it suits those who are higher spenders than the Platinum cap.Citi give you 2 points per dollar spent and those points transfer in 15,000 blocks as 10,000 Kris points to SQ.
You could have 2 Platinum cards in a family and stay under the annual caps while running up a heap of points if you are running over the limit for one card.

Oh right, ok. So select basically has no cap otherwise sameessentially coz.

Ratio
1. select 1:1.33
2. Plat 1 dollar for 2 points with transfer of 15000 to 10000 which makes it $7500:10000 points ~ 1:1.33 as well :)

thanks for that :)

I just received the email notification that i was approved on the condition i send drivers licence, passport and pay slip info.

This is surprising considering this is the 3rd credit card i have applied (and have been approved) for in the past 4 months.

Note: on the online application form I left the specified credit limit as blank (Citi will then calculate it for you)

60,000 QFF points come to papa

when did you submit your application? how long did it take?

I submitted my application on Thursday, email notification of approval received on friday.

Citi has some great benefits i have just learnt that you receive FREE bottle of wine when dining at some restaurants i frequent. (Circa and Pearl)
Circa has an AMAZING wine list so i seriously doubt the free bottle would be cough.

I am pretty sure the free bottle of wine is only if you stay in citi rewards, not if you choose citi QFF rewards.

Yes, but the restaurant can't tell this by looking at your card. It's just another Citibank credit card. And when you pay, the transaction just goes through as with any credit card (except no Citi bonus points). I have done this and there have never been any problems.

When you sit down at your table in the participating restaurant, all that is needed is to inform them that you would like to use the Citibank free wine offer. They then let you know what red wine and white wine that they have for you to choose from.

My girlfriend applied on the 25th of September, sent her documents off on the 26th and received the actual card yesterday, with the letter dated the 27th of September. Much faster than mine was.

righto, i must be dodgy in someway which i am not aware off :p

Citi call me EVERY DAY without fail asking if i have sent the documents through. (too busy)

Never got a call from them. Just got a repeat email to say they havent received all the documents, the intial one when you sign up. pretty annoyed coz my fax machine says its all gone through.

Same happened with me, it was so frustrating! In the end I told them I didn't want the card anymore cause I just didn't have the time to fax stuff off to them etc. The next day I got an email congratulating me that my card had been approved?! Go figure!
