Does anyone know that since this is now capped at 4 redemptions a year, if I cancel a reservation where I applied the code, does it still count as a redemption?

If anyone cares - I contacted support and they said if you cancel a reservation where you redeemed the code to contact them so that it can be added back into your quota.

Does anyone have experience with using this for a booking in some else's name? According to the T&C the cardholder needs to be present but I can't see how that can be verified at check in?

What? Surely it’s extremely easily to verify? Most hotels need photo id

I’m not talking about someone checking in under my name, the booking will be in their name so no issues on the ID front.

Question is whether Luxury Escapes / MyCard process the 4th night free discount if the booking is not in the cardholders name and they’re not travelling.

From past experience the hotel doesn't really care who made the prepaid booking as long as the person checking in matches the guest on the booking, hence the question whether the 4th night free is processed in such cases and if it is, how the T&C would be policed.

Since Prestige became Mycard - you will just get charged the whole nights fee from LE and the refund for the 4th night (or the average of 4 nights) comes from the card issuer. I do not see this being a problem (I had a similar booking in Apr where the booking was made for me and my sister -same surname though and I could not make the trip ). The hotel asked for the card during checkin. She said the original card was compromised and used her own card paying for the 4 nights herself. I still have the credit. Hope this helps
