All NSW passenger train timetables are changing mid October.

If I'm not at the pointy end of my train, this sounds cool!

Would be interested but in HBA the first weekend and it looks as though I will be in Perth the following Sat on the tail end of a business trip. May be able to get back to CBR on the Sat night.

As with the previous trip (which I unfortunately could not make) I am interested, but cannot commit right now. If spaces fill up in the meantime with people who *can* commit, then so be it. :)

We should be right with a few extras, as some of you know, there is a stand up bar we can crowd around if some don't mind leaning :D

The times aren't too much a worry as I don't mind traveling early but are the dates pretty much set in stone?

I'm looking to book for an 0805 arrival into SYD on the 14th and out of CBR sometime on the 15th

I'm planning on this date and I have no plan to change it. (But I don't have control over the govt track network)

Mentioned this to Mrs Vertisol who said something along the lines of.. "so, you'll fly from Canberra to Sydney to catch a train back to Canberra... seriously??"..

To which I responded that she had read the situation well... My sense is she's not interested but I still am.

OK, my flights are booked.

To SYD on 14th and home the next day. Arriving SYD 9:30am.

Suggest no one gets in after 9.30am, now serfty has made this his time Will base the departure time on how long from gate to train. (We're not running the airport line so will need a suburban trip or taxi once the departure station is confirmed.)

Close to booking, looks like it'll be VA500 down to SYD arriving about 0830 and going back CBR - MEL - OOL with VA as well, just not sure which one!

Anyone else doing VA?
