The new Qantas CHC-BNE schedule isn't the best, and that new CHC-MEL schedule is just as coughpy, CHC-SYD on Emirates is not suggesting there is enough time to connect on the last flight QF flight to Brisbane.

I guess I could burn a few points and fly VA/AirNZ.

I do. Sorry. Does 6:20am count? Have one tomorrow night/next morning and I can sleep a few hours in lounge in SIN and save money which would have been wasted on hotel.

I have just read the EK , have requested to operate an A380 on EK418/419 on the DXB-BKK-SYD-CHC from 31st Oct. (Still to be confirmed) That might have me ditching VA/ANZ for the trip.

Randomly, having not even read this entire thread, nor do I know any of you, but.... I'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just took advantage of the QF Y redemption points sale and booked a flight over via Sydney.

Now I guess I need to look at a flight home, and a hotel, and a dog-sitter, and what there is to do in Christchurch....

Yay for totally random trips :)

Some?! :p

Nah, we're a good bunch, and being able to put faces to names brings a whole new level to AFF.

There is drunkenness the moment you arrive in the SYD F lounge till departure from CHC, that is those of us who buy tickets home from the last event in WLG
Will there be drunkenness involved in this "hanging out" you speak of?
