In Foshan at the moment (going home tomorrow) and air quality is around 135... cant imagine what 300+ is like in Beijing.

Blue sky here today, even got the sunglasses out.. plenty of weird looks!

Thank god those days are over - APEC greatest godsend of all time. Any of you MEL dwellers go through that torturous excercise at their old embassy off Toorak Rd? OMG!

Yep weather in PEK appears significantly improved next week or so - should be able to get some good pics for the 'View from My Office' thread.

No, I am going to Shanghai to visit my son. We are also going to Nanjing overnight.

Depart: 21st Nov. SYD-PVG QF
Nanjing 22nd-23rd Nov.
Shanghai 23-30th Nov.
PVG-SYD 30th Nov. QF
 
Ok - possibility we might cross over NKH / PVG - would be excellent to have another AFFer join our NKG FF get together so - TheEmu and I are bit over staring into each other's eyes at Ciao Italia. :D

OK, we are staying at the Sofitel Hyland in Shanghai and I think the Hilton Riverside in Nanjing. Haven't booked either yet but will in the next day or so. It would be good to catch up and meet some other fellow AFF'ers.

Thanks for your advice on the IC. I have checked out the prices and it is a bit over my budget considering that I will be paying for all three rooms. I think I will stick with the Sofitel Galaxy as I can get that for $84 AUD per room inc. breakfast.

CRH train Beijing to WuQing - only 10 mins away - WuQing is home of famous WuQiong Florentia Village Outlet Mall - however I was heading to a factory instead:

Once dep station - I kid you not - this is the pedestrian bridge from station across hwy to Shopping Mall - Chinese don't do things in half measures!
