China Eastern Delays/Cancellations

On Thursday 2 June, MU561, the redeye from PVG should be in SYD at about 0952 hou, 52 minutes late. Aircraft is A332 B-5973.

MU727 from NKG to SYD, the 1930 hours Wednesday 1 June departure took off very late at 2223 so arrival should be about two hours late at 1030 on 2 June. A332 B-5937 the operating aircraft.

Given that these flights codeshare with QF, it would be great to have an occasional report from an AFF member as to what reason(s) were given for such delays: weather, or military use of airspace are two possible causes.

AFF receives hardly any on the spot reports from members who are about to or who have travelled on MU, yet being a QF 'partner', surely some members must patronise its flights at least occasionally?

MU738, the 1100 MEL - PVG (A332 B-6546) took off at 1140 with arrival (probably due to headwinds) expecte at about 2016 tonight, 56 minutes late. Indicated groundspeed over central Australia is 639 kilometres an hour.
