Hmm... Let's get this straight... when ANYone takes an isolated incident involving QF and blows it out of proportion then it is "QANTAS bashing" and is to be universally derided...
..but take one incident involving "insert OTHER airlines name" and we can generalise away?
Seems a little one sided to me!

Admitedly I did have a very long takeoff in Perth on a very hot day on SAA 340-300 That was full of pax and one presumes, fuel!
Did we get to the keys? It certainly felt like it.
That's a really interesting piece of video.
I suspect that there is more to this story. There is almost no elevator deflection at rotate, and there is no attempt to rotate at what would be the normal 'get scared' point.
I think we have a sentence, but the rest of the chapter is missing....
That's one of the great clips Spruce...especially the vodka comment. But, it's hopefully from a different book.
I'm not one to defend some other operators, but I just don't see an aircraft charging towards the end of the runway, with no elevator deflection as all that normal. Can we carry over the video of the freight operation, and all that implies? Well, perhaps, but I'd really hate that to be correct....
