Have flown China airlines a couple of times while in China and had no problems. My sister who lived in china for 5 years travelled between Shanghai and Beijing while they were building the new Beijing airport and once they landed at the wrong airport. Just said sorry and took off again after an hour delay. Have also had long take off with airlines here don't really care as long as it gets up

I'm sorry, what?? They landed at the wrong airport!!

Sorry, but that's pretty inexcusible. Someone must really have been asleep at the controls that day.

IMHO this simply reinforces that the title sums it up correctly.

She tells some scary stories about a time when the plane had landed and was fitted with the nose camera when the plane after landing had to brake hard while taxing in as a guy on a bike was riding alone the apron unaware of the plane and all on board saw this through the camera

well, hey, you know ....... all these airports looks the same..... easy to mistake one for another ......

The scary part may be that such an incident has happened more than once! (Not necessarily the same carrier)

Just wondering if you might mean Air China (of China) rather than China Airlines (of Taiwan). Not that it diminishes the point of the story!

Can't see the problem. The aircraft would win that argument.

It’d be a shock, but I agree, I wouldn’t be worried about the plane in that instance, unless it was taking-off and then I might be concerned the bicyclist might be ingested resulting in a similar situation to a bird strike! :p

Austman yes could be air china as it was an internal flight. It was more the story that held my interest. Just let you in on another of her flight dramas. Flight from london to australia once again can't remember airline but as the plane was being pushed back the emergency slide blow out and they had to over night it at heathrow while another was flown down from Manchester. At least it wasn't mid air

Escape slides are more than capable of doing their thing without much help. I would not hold it against any airline if an external slide went off (i.e. one which can be operated without opening a cabin door).
