China Airlines Delays/Cancellations

Wednesday 11 October sees CI57 (2325 hours Tuesday night TPE - MEL that was airborne at 0031 on Wednesday with A333 B-18315) arriving at a suggested 1234, 49 minutes late.
 
On Thursday 11 January 2018, CI53, the Wednesday 10 late night 2345 hours TPE - BNE that took off at 0049 hours on Thursday 11 should arrive at 1142, 52 minutes late. A333 B-18316 is the aircraft.
 
Sunday 11 March has CI51 (the late night 2330 hours Saturday 10 TPE - SYD that took off at 0021) arriving with A350 B-18909 at 1226, 36 minutes behind time.
 
On Modnay 16 July 2018, CI53 from TPE down to BNE (A350 B-18909) should arrive at 1120 hours, 35 minutes tardy.
 
Sunday 22 July 2018 sees CI55, the 0740 hours TPE down to SYD having taken off at 0822, about 15 minutes late. AQ350 B-18917 should arrive at 1930, 35 late.
 
CI is generally good in keeping time to and from Oz but Thursday 23 August 2018 is an exception with CI51 from TPE down to SYD (A350 B-18906) likely to arrive at 1139 hours, 54 late.
 
The Saturday 25 August 2018 CI51 (2330 hours TPE down to SYD, A359 B-18907) took off at 0135 on Sunday 26 so arrival is suggested as 1225, 110 late.
 
Friday 7 September 2018 has seen the threat of lightning around SYD result in many aircraft being held in the air or on the ground: there has also been very heavy rain. CI55 (0740 hours TPE down to SYD that took off on time or a little early at 0754 with A333 B-18917) is diverting to CBR with arrival at 1940 instead of the scheduled 1855 in SYD.

It will be interesting to see if this aircraft is able to reach SYD tonight and if so depart back to TPE as CI52, the 2210 hours.

CI55 arrived in SYD on 7 September at 2215 hours.

UPDATE: CI52 departed at 2315 hours.

CI53 (A350 B-18903) arrived into BNE as scheduled this morning but due to operational issues did not depart at 1300 for the TT leg to AKL. Is listed to depart at 2117 tonight (497 minutes late)
This has flow on effects as the returning CI54 was due to depart AKL at 2045 and arrive into BNE at 2125 tonight in preparation for the 2205 departure to TPE.
At this stage it looks like BNE pax won’t get away until 0610 tomorrow morning
 
And CI53 is finally in the air at 2131 (511 minutes late) Just 94 minutes before it was due to head back to TPE!
 
CI54 has just departed BNE at 0740 (515 minutes late)and is expected to touch down in TPE at 1354 (485 minutes late)
 
CI53, the Sunday 23 December 2018 scheduled 2345 hours TPE down to BNE (B773ER B-18055) took off on Christmas Eve at 0053 and should arrive at 1124 hours, 34 late.
 
This Taiwanese airline has pretty good punctuality into and out of Australia, better than its mainland Chinese competitors, but on Saturday 12 January 2019, CI53 from TPE to BNE should arrive at 1128, 38 late. B773ER B-18053 is the aircraft.
 
CU52 (Thursday 7 February 2019, the scheduled 2210 hours SYD - TPE, A359 B-18910) did not become airborne until 2310 hours, so arrival on Friday 8 should be at 0501, 31 late.

On Thursday 14 February, CI53 and CI54 BNE - AKL return look to be cancelled, but the usual flights ex and to TPE are still operating.
 
Thursday 14 February's CI54, the 2305 hours BNE up to TPE took off at 0013 hours on Friday 15 with B773ER B-18005. Arrival looks to be 0623 hours, 33 late.

As was the case on Thursday, Friday 15 and Saturday 16's CI53/CUI54 BNE - AKL - BNE legs are cancelled. Unreliable, and not like CI.

Does anyone know what's occurring? Are loads bad, or the aircraft not certified to fly to NZ? Or does CI have insufficient crew?
 
The 2330 hours TPE down to SYD on Easter Saturday 20 April 2019 took off at 0050 on 21 April with A359 B-18908. Arrival should be at 1154, 69 late.
 
Monday 27 May's CI53 the 2350 hours TPE down to SYD did not take off until 0100 hours on Tuesday 28.

Arrival for A359 B-18302 should be at 1116, 31 late.
 
In what may be a first for CBR, due to fog in SYD, on Sunday 7 July 2019 A359 B-18907 on CI51, the TPE - SYD redeye diverted to CBR. It then took off from the latter at 1332 hours with SYD arrival expected as 1415 hours, 200 minutes late.
