Chile is now visa free for Aussies!

I just got through to Melbourne too - they confirmed multi entries within 90 days is permitted and I have email confirmation from the Sydney consulate. I asked when the Smarttraveller website would be updated and she didn't know. I have sent a complaint to them about out of date info on the website.

I enquired about the outdated information on Smarttraveller as well. The lady said that is not withintheir domain to update.

I have sent a feedback form on Smarttraveller with these links. Will wait and see if they update their advice any time soon.

Of course - Chilean govt Vs Australian Government website. if its about Chile, trust the Chilean website over any Australian one (although AFF is pretty good ....)

So many skeptics....sigh

Odd, isn't it? I don't know how much more confident you can get than in a Chilean government (Australian consulate) website.

As for calling their Melbourne consulate for advice - given past experiences (not known to posters above but they can read about it here), that's the last place I'd call.

Especially since the AU arrangement was totally unique and managed by the AU consulates. Some better than others!

At least IATA is aware ...
