Is anyone aware of a way to check online the availability of specific seats on a J* service prior to making a booking ala Expert Flyer?

I have some flexibility of dates for a trip to DPS and would prefer if I have to fly J* (thank you Qantas for not giving me an option) to pick a date when better seats are available

I've checked expert flyer but it comes back as seat maps not available.

It shows loadings as

J0 D0 U4 Y4 B4 V4 T4 S4 R4 Q4 P4 O4 N4 M4 E4 F4 L4 A4 Z0 I0 K4 H4 X4

Which at face value seems pretty full but I suspect is the J* system not talking to expert flyer the same way that other airlines do. The Qantas code share for that flight shows 9's in all but two classes but also won't show a seat map

Thanks for your thoughts

I have done this by making an online booking and after you get to "choose your seat", for free or by selecting the appropriate bundle, if I don't like what I see I don't complete the booking.

Tedious, yes.

Thanks again I'll give it a try
