Just had an email come through with business class specials to a variety of destinations. Perth in Business Class is particularly cheap USD738 Return!

I think they've had some web issues. Since last week http://www.philippineairlines.com/ doesn't work for me but http://www1.philippineairlines.com/ does

We had a similar promo from BNE. I've noticed that they have made more capacity available on the J fares. When I was first searching some particular dates in Feb next year there was none of the special J fares available. Now I notice that there are more of the special fares available.

(I think it is a good marketing effort. By trickling out the specials availability over a few weeks, keeps more consumers engaged and talking abotu the fares rather than say the traditional Jetsar/Virgin 2 day type of sale. By the time we all fight over the available fares, the website time outs etc we kind of now we have to be lucky to get a good fare. By PR trickling out their fare bucket and promo over a few weeks they get an extended amount of verbal referral.)

The regular fares don't look that exciting though. I'm unlikely to pay ~$4k J return on a PR flight.
