Changing *A FF number partway through journey

Hi all. I am booked on SQ flights from BNE-SIN and SIN-ZRH. I currently have my VA number on the booking, but I was wondering if I could change it to my A3 number for the SIN-ZRH flight during my 4.5 hour stopover in SIN. Any advice would be appreciated.
 
I would think you would be able to get the lounge staff to do this for you.
 
Others have done this. But always a risk the new ff number will not stick. Check on line after if you can to make sure. Keep the boarding pass
