I wonder if anyone's so far successfully linked a lounge pass for a flight post 1 July.
Once a pass is linked, has there been any history of the lounge gatekeepers refusing to honour a linked pass ie deny entry for whatever reason? Lounge at capacity springs to mind or a possible post 1 July "lounge passes are no longer accepted".
If it's usable, I'll be happy to send one pass to @Port Power for their son seeing the kind ops' already given away their 4 passes for this year.
From all I have read of the changes it is the transfer of lounge passes that is being changed, not the ability to link transferred passes after July 1. So unless I am mistaken if I were to transfer one of my passes tomorrow that is set to expire January 2027 then whoever receives it would have until January 2027 to use that pass, they would not have to link it before July 1, 2026.

This is correct, lounge won't be transferrable as is currently the case. A member with such a pass in their account will only be able to link the pass to someone on the same flight.

So any idea how these change (in practice) will work for JQ domestic flights?
- you can continue to use passes for JQ domestic flights
- you can only transfer passes to someone on the same flight as you
But you don't actually need to transfer passes for Jetstar, you can link them to anyone. Qantas does not know if you will actually be on the Jetstar flight or not, it does not track my JQ bookings.
So does this mean we can still indirectly transfer (aka link) for JQ?

The annoying thing for me is that owing to a number of factors (broken arm, fixing and selling house, buying and moving into an apartment) travel has not been on our agenda since we returned from UK about a year ago. Our next QFi flight is 11/8, and we can't link the pass because the J lounge has shrunk. And can't transfer as we did several times in the old days where someone in need gifted a pass in return from a future allocation. Just makes the passes fairly useless.

You can transfer them before the July date. That's what I did. Since I had no one I knew to transfer to, I used this:

Wondering if anyone has experience, or can confirm? I have my daughter and partner flying international out of Adelaide early July. I have two domestic lounge passes. Given that Adelaide appears to combine international and domestic in the one lounge, I'm thinking that if I transfer the two passes prior to 1st July, they should be able to use them?

Yes. I've got four passes attached to my flights I've obtained from other QFF members pre-July for flights post July (as far as March 2027)

Not sure how well /useful the Adelaide Lounge specifically works, since your time would be limited there as you still have to clear immigration etc, but in respect to the pass themselves, yes you can transfer, prior to July 1st, but note they can only be used for Qantas flights, as I understand it, this means if they are flying internationally out of Adelaide, then they must be flying on the Qantas flight to Auckland (there are no others (as far as I am aware), that you could use the pass on.

Ah-ha, I hadn't thought of that. I know the flights were paid for using Qantas points so assumed Qantas passes would be accepted. I take your point and will enquire further.

Sadly correct - Example: booking an Air France flight (with AF flight number) with Qantas points won't allow you to use a Qantas lounge pass... sorry, I've been caught out before

Oh well, these lounge passes really are completely useless. The flight is a EK flight number. Unfortunately I've transferred them so that's that!
