Totally agreed. I was there again twice this trip. Don't need noodles before a flight. The food under the glass covers is very similar to the food in the Thai Royal Silk and Royal Orchid lounges back towards the E concourse.IMO you haven't missed much by not visiting the BKK CX lounge. Seating is Ok, bar is unremarkable. There is a noodle bar that woks up noodles to order if that's what you want and a very small selection of uninteresting western food under glass covers.
Surprisingly the Louis Tavern lounge opposite G2 had much better food selection including hot food.
Only if flying Qantas or EK. Not BA or any other Oneworld airline.I think that in BKK the Emirates lounge is where you want to be.
