If it misses the curfew and delayed until tomorrow I will be so lucky I rerouted my flight via another city which has no curfew to ensure on time arrival into HKG.

This is due to heavy rain in HK which delayed many early morning departures, and is currently causing flow on delays at outer ports.
My current flight has been delayed by more than 90 minutes and still haven't taken off.

The high risk CX138 had left successfully.
Honestly why Cathay not ask for a slot at WSI for overnight and layover CX139 for 6am SYD departure will be much better.
I have blacklisted CX138 and will definitely use CX170 for overnight into Hong Kong.

That flight on B-KPU (77W) took off at 2251 - 9 mins to curfew, I suspect lots of preparation work happened BEFORE the flight arrived SYD including the luggage in the boxes long before arrival

Cathay Pacific may not operate flights to PVG, HGH, TPE, KHH over the next few days due to Super Typhoon Bavi.
Please listen to announcements and check indicator boards at airports.
