Cathay Pacific Business Class Ticket

My wife and I are flying to Milan with CP in business class (31 July) but returning from Frankfurt (also with CP) but in economy on 4 Sept. I'd like to explore a way of upgrading my economy return fare to business class and wondered what suggestions you might have to do this in the most economical way - if its possible. Hope you can help

The first thing, are they upgradable tickets? Not all tickets are eligible for an upgrade.

Then, do you have any status with Cathay Pacific (CX)? Or any OneWorld airline for that matter?

If none of the above then the only you'll be flying in J (aka business) is by paying for it.

The chance of an operational upgrade (aka op-up) are so miniscule as to be non-existent.

CX won't recognise the fact you are a QP member, as it is not OW status.
