The federal aviation watchdog is now investigating a near miss between a remote controlled airplane and a passenger jet at Perth Airport.


The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has confirmed to thewest.com.au that they are now investigating the matter.

After looking at the video of this,, i think its made up !!

looks like the movie has been "enhanced" with the DJ plane.

What do others think ?

Yep, I agree, and obviously the DJ pilots were blind as well to not see the possible hazzard as they wizzed past Great camera work by the plane as well LOL

I saw it on the news once this evening ad though it was unbelievably close.

I suppose it makes sense after the plane passed there would be significant turbulence, but it also seems like it hit the ground pretty fast. And I guess something so small wouldn't have been seen on the airports radar?

This was shot in the local park, which is in line with runway 06. I've seen people flying model planes there before, but never when this runway was in use. I was wondering if anyone would get in trouble for it. The position of the aircraft is consistent with a normal approach on runway 06, so I'm pretty sure the video hasn't been "enhanced".
