I'm QF NB and BA Gold, flying QF2 tomorrow.

My BA number is in the booking but I would like to put my QFF number in instead

Will the LHR lounge staff be able to change it so that I earn QFF points rather than avios for this flight?

Or should I try asking the staff at check-in? Not sure if LHR T3 fast track security will let me in if my status is not on the BP (I don't have a physical BA card, only digital)

I was in a similar position - I just called and they changed it over the phone.

Might be easier to call ahead than change it on the day.

Ticket was then updated immediately with the correct (higher) status.

I believe @Zero wants to use BA status to access fast track and the lounge, then change to QFF to earn?

Try in the lounge, once you’ve entered but they should also be able to do it at the gate - just get there before boarding starts.
