Can I upgrade

I am soon going to book Economy RTW with Qantas, I am asking if I book all economy is there ability to request Upgrade? We are platinum FF. last I checked it was $9975 for two people east to west stopping 4 countries and away for a month. Starting from BNE.

The Qantas flights will be as per normal Qantas rules for upgrades

Have you looked at a done4, suspect with some work you can probably get a price but in business for that ex Japan for only a few k more, no upgrades required

If it was a oneworld Economy around the World booking, it books into L class (e.g. LONE4).

L class is upgradeable on Qantas International flights but you are subject to the Qantas Upgrade Pecking order with confirmation only in the hours/days leading up to the flight.

Any upgrade with QF points can only be on QF flights.
Is a Oneworld trial upgrade scheme with QF-AA but heavy on t&c's. Have yet to read of anyone actually getting a OW QF-AA upgrade.

As above are betters places to start a OW LONE4, than Australia.
With planning can get more "trips", even if starting in AU. Many years ago I did a trip MEL DRW trip 11 months after starting a OW RTW ticket for the cash price of a separate MEL SYD ticket. Had a 8 month stopover in MEL.
