can I do a status match with delta? im a VA Plat

and if they do match the status will that give me lounge access in the usa when I travel?
also have a virgin plat amex but think last time that didnt help to get us in any lounges including amex as it wasnt the "correct" amex platinum, im all kinda confused. we have so many internal delta flights booked im really trying to find how I can get lounge access along the way.....

.....as for your Virgin Amex card it will only get you into 2 x visits into Australian Amex lounges. It won't get you into any other Amex lounges around the world. For that you will need a regular Amex Platinum card or higher..... (check out this link) Airport Lounge Access | American Express Australia As for your Delta question, sorry can't help you.

NO - Delta elites only get status based access to Delta Sky Clubs in conjunction with same day international travel.

For access domestically a Sky Club membership is required.
