If only carrying hand luggage, and travelling on a Qantas* or Jetstar marketed and operated flight, you can also check in at most major domestic Australian or New Zealand Qantas Club lounges.
Note: Lounge check-in for Jetstar is 40 minutes before departure. If you arrive within 40 minutes of scheduled departure, go directly to the Jetstar check-in counter. You need to check-in for Jetstar flights at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure otherwise your ticket will be forfeited. No refund or free transfer is available. You will be required to book and pay for a new ticket if you wish to travel.

This paragraph assumes most airports have the contract to enable them to issue JQ boarding passes. I can understand people's frustration if they have been able to get JQ boarding passes from other QP's but not at DRW for example where JQ ground handling is done by Skystar.
It's not that QF don't want to do it, if they do not have the contract to handle an airline (even if it is a member of the Qantas Group) they not only don't have a signon for the JQ Navitaire system but they don't have the authority to access it. You can't have two companies ie QF & Skystar fiddling with JQ flights.
I'm not sure what other QF Clubs cannot issue JQ boarding passes, other AFFers might care to enlighten us.

I have been able to check in at the MEL QP for 2 of my only 4 to date JQ domestic flights.I've never had any luck in MEL, but that was about 3-4 years ago.

serfty
So in effect there are a few scenarios with QP's:
a) those that can't
b) those than can and will
c) those that can but won't
Clear as mud!
