Credit Card Offers Can I cancel a credit card application after approval to apply for a different one?

I just applied for the Amex Qantas Ultimate credit card yesterday, and I got approved this morning already. At the same time, just this morning I saw that the Amex Velocity Platinum has an offer with 30K extra points over the base 100K point SUB, and now I wish I'd applied for that. Is there a way I can make the switch now?

You should call Amex since you’ve already been approved.

For everyone's reference, called Amex and they're making it happen. Hopefully there's no drama later with the SUB! Feels like I took a bit of a risk there, but they're saying it's going to be okay
