Hello All

I'm brand new to this forum, being looking for years and love it ....

Can I please ask for advice on the topic.

" Can a full service IATA Airline change/modify or refuse to honour the rules of the airfare they sold you, once the fare has been paid in full "

Many thanks

A bit more information would be required before you could discuss, as there are elements such as mistake fares that could be applicable here...

Generally, the fare rules that applied at the time the ticket was issued will continue to apply until the ticket is used, re-issued or expires. If fare rules subsequently change, the changes generally only apply to new tickets issued from that time onwards.

However, note that if the ticket needs to be re-issued for any reason (you make a change etc), the new fare rules will then apply to the re-issued ticket. This means that if things like fuel surcharged have increased since the initial ticket issue and you need to re-issue the ticket, the fare will be recalculated based on the new rules and surcharges and you may have to pay the difference between the original fare and the new fare based on the new taxes, surcharges or fare basis.
