Call for frequent flyers to skip airport checks

As frequent flyers, we may spot security slip-ups more easily than others, so what about the sort of dilema one faces when a pax a few positions in front of ones current position manages to (inadvertantly) slip something right through the screening process? I don't really like to draw attention to myself, and also don't like to cause the queue to stall......

Next time someone sees something obvious slip through security, should that person do the right thing and alert security staff, even if it risks inconvienience to you (or me), the line or the whole screening process? i.e. should we take a little more ownership with the whole security thing, or am I just sticking my nose in where it does not belong?
 
I am in support of it, but I am sure for every system there are ways around it. Surely they could begin with APEC card holders for example - we have been pretty well screened already, and then there is my US visa with all the photos and fingerprints...not to mention 100 point identity check, mobile phone bill...
 
They're subjecting security-cleared flight crew to the same security screening as passengers, so I can't see it somehow that they'll give passengers a special clearane to go through a simpler security screening.

However, it would be nice to be given a separate queue (same screening standards, just a shorter queue) when travelling J/F or with a FF status.
 
Piers C and B are both within the Int Terminal, and the connection is after immigration. That doesn't help get from Dom to Int and through the mess.

But if the queue at immigration at Pier B at Syd T1 is long, you can clear immigration at Pier B (assuming it's shorter) and then walk across to Pier C or vice versa...

Sure. It sometimes helps to see what flights are departing and where from and take the chance that the other immigration may be less crowded, and walk back to the other pier after xray, or even as you approach immigration and see it's full, high-tail it back out and try the other side. There is always the time/luck factor.

That's where the APEC card (if eligible) helps in both A/B and C immi.

not if transferring from domestic by bus - it dumps you on the OW pier and the passage to *A/other pier is after immigration

I suppose you could fight your way out the entrance to immigration from the check in area (ie against the flow of QF/OW pax) then along and in the other way (then double back airside if you really are leaving from OW pier).

Actaully, after exiting the b*s and reaching the top of the escalator (or taking the lift) you proceed down a corridor for about 20 Metres. At the end you have two options:
  • Turn Left to enter the emmigration hall
  • Turn Right to enter SYD T1 landside.
There is a notice about turning right if you have not yet obtained your BP for you flight etc.
