At least no more overheads (hat racks as described by EK) will be filled up with KK boxes on flights to ADL.
<Does PER have KK?>
EDIT: Umm: maybe still be on REX flights within SA.

We have had KK in BNE for ages and I still see people loading them into the overheads.

KK buyers who are not aware you can get them locally are also unlikely to be type fussy, FWIW all my obs have been on the numerous 738s I fly each Friday night.

I have done KK Trans Tasman, you are allowed to bring them in to NZ, declare them and make sure they do not have fruit fillings, otherwise all varieties inclunding the mock-cream ones, are able to be freely brought in.:D

What if the J lounge had Neil Perry inspired doner kebab, for free, and the only alternative was to pay for food in the terminal.
And you were hungry?

Inquiring minds want to know!

You got me. If I was really hungry I would buy something otherwise I would wait.

I've brought in outside food in the past. Not every option available at the lounges is to every ones tastes. (Eg I know some people love cheese platters, to me I can't stand the stuff). I personally feel that since the lounges are simply offering spaces to sit, and not trying to sell food and drink then I don't have a problem with it.

There was a Krispy Kreme armed hold up in ADL the other day :eek:. 6 were stolen at knifepoint the first day the shop opened. Not from the shop, I think it was from a customer.

Yep, it's disgusting that people would threaten a couple of teenagers with a knife for donuts!

What is this world coming to?

Spare a though for our US counterparts who have very little to choose foodwise within the lounge but are forbidden from bringing outside food in.

We were in the UA lounge in terminal C at ORD waiting for our flight to BOS which kept on getting delayed so I'd gone to the gate just to double check it wasn't boarding (it had been delayed again) but on the way back bought a slice of lemon pound cake from Starbucks.

I didn't know about the food ban & when I walked back into the lounge the girl on the front desk spotted the paper bag sticking out of my handbag so I had to leave it with her in quarantine until we left the lounge about half an hour later. Overkill much???

I've also been on flights within the US where people have brought so much edible cough onboard with them that the F/A's have had to come around with a trash bag before take-off.
