Just 3 days left to earn Velocity points. From midnight on 31/1, agreement with VA ceases and swaps to BP Rewards and possible transfer to QF. Of which there'e scant info at the moment. Sure that will change soon though.

This was not an issue months back but now my nearest BP has decided to be competitive and currently they are 126.9 for ethanol compared to coles 5km away 169.9. Looks like I will wait and see what the arrangement brings.

You can collect either BP points or QF points.

"We’ve also partnered with Qantas Frequent Flyer, Australia’s leading airline rewards program which means you will be able to earn either Qantas Points or BP Points, the choice is yours! "

From what I have heard:
The link between BP+ and Qantas Business Rewards might start Feb 1, but the BP Rewards link with QFF is another month or so away.

My local OTR which is BP in other states didn't even know what Q (QF) Rewards was!
I asked when the link to earn started, got a blank didn't know look.
On the run may well sell BP petrol, but they are not BP so may well not be part of the program.

A bit like how Woolworths servos sold Caltex fuel but Catlex wasn’t (originally) part of Woolworths rewards.

Woolworths servos are now owned by EU, EuropeanGarages!

EG you mean? And they are rebranding to EG. But either way they are still part of Woolworths rewards and they still get their fuel from Caltex and originally Caltex servos were not part of Woolworths rewards.

And that was the point I was making about On The Run. Just because they get (some) of their fuel from BP doesn’t make them BP and doesn’t mean they will be part of this new agreement.

I am shattered for this, I used to fill up every 2-3 days $130 worth of diesel. It was a nice bonus.
let alone my dad and mrs and 2 sisters also having my spare velocity cards so it was a really really nice added bonus, let alone all of them using my Amex platinum to pay for it as well.

Just going to have to stick to the Amex, hardly any shells where i drive, always a highway BP though

I saw peeps on a cherry picker peeling off the Velocity sign on the Moonah BP this morning. I assumed the signage was more solid than just a sticker. Predicting the temporary I guess.

A BP along my route had wrapped a BPMe banner around the Velocity sign.

So anyway I filled up at Coles Express and was subjected to upsell pitches for lollies, drinks, and car fresheners that I don't need. <sigh>. at least the unleaded price was $1.33-ish which was on par with the BPs I pass by. Often Coles Express is 10-15c more!

Has anyone on here got any tips on how to keep earning VFF points on diesel, now that BP has switched? I get the Coles express/fly buys emails but the Ts&Cs always exclude diesel and LPG.

It tends to only be some bonus points offers that exclude Diesel or LPG. You'll still get the standard 1 flybuys point per $2 spent for any type of fuel. You can also choose to make any 4c per litre discount vouchers you may have give you 8 flybuys points per litre instead by flipping the switch in your flybuys account.
