How come I cant find this deal on OMAT history? History page showed 80% bonus but I am sure I bought it when it was over 100% bonus. Trying to see if I should wait. Anyone have any record during Sep 2024?

Bought points this morning at 8am, still waiting for the transaction to process. This is one of the downside of buying miles, hoping that that seats are still available whilst they complete the transaction

It could be that I have used that card many times before - paying for taxes on redemption.

Points are usually credited instantly.

Sometimes… new accounts, or certain geographical regions (like china), points purchases are blocked. But you won’t get a rejection notice.

I think there have been the odd occasion where points have credited in 24 hours, but that’s not the norm.

Just a further data point. Brother, who has never bought Aeroplan before bought some today instant points crediting. Used a debit card. So I think the principle is if you are time sensitive, use a debit card

Aeroplan can reject points buying for a number of reasons… location, credit card, the ‘newness’ of the account.

I buy my points through CC and they credit instantly, But there are people for who that doesn’t work. It’s ok if your debit card if fee free

Yes… the initial offers were only until Friday. Then they dropped 5%. It was outlined in the email

Basically a drop of 4,000 points from the initial offer if you buy just enough to trigger the highest bonus.

I just bought couple thousand of Aeroplan points and paid with my AMEX card with no issue.

However, when trying to booking a reward flight and using exactly the same credit card - it pops up an error message saying there was a issue with my payment.

Tried multiple cards but same issue.

Anyone knows how to bypass this? Tried to call AC waited for 1:30hrs but no response.

Have the points landed in your account? If so, you might need to ring, hours have been expanded and are now anything but 5-7pm Australian Eastern Standard Time
