Hi all,

I'm flying to the US in a few days. My carry-on bag is 50cm x 25cm x 30cm, and I'm wondering if it will fit under the seat in front, in business class, or if it will have to go overhead. It's not very squashy.

Thanks!

At 3.25 metres I suggest you'll need to check it in and probably pay for oversize luggage. :)

The question is moot as there is no under-seat storage with Qantas Skybeds and that means all flights to/from the USA.

Can I have it with me? Or does everything go in the overhead?
If you have an A or a K seat, you may have a side storage bin (generally rows 11-15 on 744 and rows 11-24 on 380).

However, I the bag you describe is too large (maybe 15cm max - a laptop case typically fits) - so into the OHSB it would need to go (or a closet somewhere).

I take a small backpack and place stuff I want with me into that after boarding.

It must be in the overhead for take-off and landing. You can bring it down during the flight. Hopefully you are in a window seat so you can stand it against the cabin wall. There's really nowhere else for it to go - the main disadvantage of the Skybed design is the paucity of storage facilities.

What a fabulous word that you don't see used very often.
