Business Saver now classed as Discount Economy?

I Travel to BKK a lot for Business and always book the ex BKK fares as a result which has helped me with a lot of savings (usually getting J for $2700 to 3k return) and the added benefit of no fare difference for booking changes with fares purchased in BKK.

I just went to purchase airfares then as i saw a sale exBKK based as i need my return flight for an upcoming april flight, and was dissapointed to see the fare conditions saying Business Saver only counts as discount economy now? Has anyone seen or heard of this?

I looked in Matrix to see if I could see anything but it doesn't mention FF points. In any case I suspect it is an error on the website as it does book in to I.

There are a couple of changes I noticed to conditions post 31 March so maybe worth a look (Matrix - ITA Software)

Thanks Must Fly ! Hoping RedRoo maybe sees, also contacted QF Twitter and contact form! Just looked again now and those fares have ended and the price is back at Full J, not happy ! Hoping some guidance is given at least as dropping BUsiness Saver to Disc Econ earn doesnt seem too nice!

Hi All again, sorry to keep bringing this upp i just hope RedRoo see and can help!

Have spoken to QF Platinum and they say speak to Bangkok, i have spoken to Bangkok and they read the exact same writing i read that Business now classed as Discount Economy from BKK but seemed confused, spoke to a manager who her words were "i think this could be wrong, it does not seem right and i have not heard about it but if we book now we will be bound by that writing. I will put an enquiry in however i could be up to 6 weeks with a response"

Really want to know a firm answer soon so please help RedRoo if you see this ! Need the J SC for this trip to retain platinum and if Star class needs to be taken then i guess thats the price to pay ! haha

The firm answer is already out there, what fare bucket is it, then look at the fare type earn table! Business saver is a branding, not a fare bucket.

Also you notice it says you will not earn points and SCs when you booked on Jetstar operated QF code flights? Clarity please anyone?

you have nothing to worry about. The airline earning table in the FF terms and conditions are what you need to go by.

I have had the same error on an I class booking ie. the booking engine stating its a Discount Economy earn.
I ignored it as I knew it was wrong and the flight posted correctly with J points/ SC

Slightly off topic but we recently came back from OOL to MEL.

we are both PLATINUM but my wife's ticket showed GOLD.

Obviously a computer glitch in the system. ??

A glitch - but that IS something I'd monitor to make sure you go the correct points for if it makes a difference.

Same happened to me this week from PER. Got the boarding pass fixed in the QP and they didn't seem surprised - "it happens".

Made no difference OOL to MEL but we are going to Cambodia in August so I will definitly be checking then !
