Then you would have the WP,WP1,J travellers whinging about sharing the J lounges :rolleyes:

These premium lounge closures are now regular event, and while I do not often travel with QF during this period, the principle is enough to divert my business to DJ. In the face of AJs recent financial annual results every cost saving window is open and I am wary of future enhancements. Here's hoping QFF is not adversely impacted.

DJ or VA as it is known now dont have separate business lounges at all so I do not understand this reasoning.

Im traveling this period and I dont mind using the QP instead. Even if it is cost cutting.
 
Qantas business closing dec 26

Dear Qantas

Currently in the ADL lounge and asked the angels the question about lounge closure.

Thanks for for the lack of notice in regards to closing the business lounges from 26 Dec for the Christmas New Year period. As a WP1 I was going to take my kids (to AFF yes they know how to behave in a lounge lol) in on Boxing Day to BNE. I note chairmans lounges are still open. I does make me wonder what you value in loyalty considering my quarterly average of SC is 1500.

Actually QF website says from the 25th...
Note: From 25 December 2013 to 12 January 2014, our Domestic Business Lounges in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra will be temporarily unavailable. We’re going to use this opportunity to carry out some routine cleaning and maintenance. During this time, we invite you join us in the Qantas Club and look forward to seeing you back in our Business Lounges throughout 2014.

I'm so sick and tired of that bulls@$t! I've paid business class tickets to travel on the 25th and Jan 1st. :O :O :O :O

With the Dom J lounges closed, it will be like travelling through PER (or ADL) for the rest of the year!

I love reading the absolute fantastical excuses Qantas comes up with over various failures too ;)

It didn't appear to me that the closure impacted on service in the MEL QP yesterday or BNE this afternoon. However, the lines to clear security in MEL yesterday were pretty impressive. At times up to 4 snaking lines converging at strange points, and the removal of the priority line to assist easing the burden. Expected as much with Christmas and cricket fans combined.

I am in the QP now and feel so dirty. We have over an hour to kill so I went and asked if we could please go to the CL as we are both WP. The lounge angel said no it is invite only. Worth a shot!
