Hi,
Hope this gets to the correct forum, apologies if not.
We are flying to UK from either Adelaide or Melbourne late June/early July and returning late August after a cruise.
The booking window is just about here, in fact with a couple of airlines the dates are available.
Is there a period coming up that is recognised as a Business sale time for these dates or is this a random thing that comes along at any time.
Currently two of us can fly business with Singapore Airlines for around $12,500 for both.
Not having paid for business class seats before, is this a reasonable price or could we expect something lower at some stage.
Appreciate any comments.

$6250 is not bad for business class to London, but it's not the best possible deal. You could fly as cheaply as $9600 for two of you if you flew from Melbourne on Vietnam Airlines. Or around the same price from SYD/MEL on China Airlines. You'd need to get your own flights to MEL, but you could do that in economy.

For a first tier carrier, I'd say you'd be possibly aiming for a special deal at around $5500. So $6250 for a flight straight out of Adelaide might not be a bad deal.

If you could fly in to London and out fo Europe (Paris, Amsterdam etc) you'll save $500 or so by avoiding the UK's luxury departure tax for premium cabins.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Take a look at Finnair pricing. They are very competitive in J and offer a fantastic product. You will connect easily through Helsinki. They are a OneWorld partner.

Philippine Airlines (PR, but colloquially PAL) has fairly regular sales and flies from Melbourne or Sydney using lie flat A330-300s to MNL and then new A359s, again lie flat, to LHR.

Great airline with good service. Safe:

Eva Air or China Airlines ex Bne often for around $5,000. Have done PR to Hong Kong and can highly recommend this airline.

Really appreciate the comments. We don’t fly a lot, mainly to USA over the past few years and have been fortunate enough to have the points to fly business with Qantas.
To be honest, we are not game enough to use anything but a ‘better end’ airline, which may mean a few more to you than we think.
Emerites, Qatar,Singapore, Qantas, Etihad, are what we are thinking of. If we have to pay for them, so be it.
My initial query was perhaps obscure as fare as airlines were concerned but wondered if there is a time period that perhaps these companies released sale priced seats.
Hope that doesn’t sound snobby but....
Cheers

5-Star Business Class to Europe from $3,000 return. It’s rare fares are that cheap. Qatar were around $3500 ex Australia when they had the blockade in the Gulf. The other one is Condor (ex Lufthansa now part of the Thomas Cook Group) that’s as cheap as these.....

Another option is buy lots of Qantas wine to obtain points or outright points purchase as Top-Up points. ......

From what I gather sales will track on a similar pattern to prior years, I’ll add a xcel in awhile, need to update it since start of 2018, there’s been 200 sales items?

Worth noting that Condor only has angled lie flats - not really 'business class' by today's standards. They do have ultra cheap mixed class fares from Europe ... economy on LH connectors, Condor business, and then economy class down from KUL.

Be aware this is QANTAS only

Interesting no specific Euro sales this calendar year.

You can check actual pricing. At Agency News.

Search for the particular sales campaign there.
My vague impressions sales fares for the dates you’re considering happen between late October & February. Some extend into early March (eg Finnair)
