Bunkered down in Boston during the winter storm.

Im bunkered down in Boston @ The Doubletree Downtown due to a massive winter storm that has commenced and will continue for the next 24 hours . Expecting up to 2ft of snow by this time Sat afternoon. Boston has completely shutdown...transport, restaurants , shops ...the lot . You know things are going to be bad when you cant even go to McDonalds or Starbucks for a feed ;-) Just tried ordering room service ...ahh no , hotel running on skeleton staff only . They are going to be serving a set menu dinner for guests tonight . Dont think i will be seeing musch of Boston before i leave on Sunday unfortunately .

Do you think you'll be leaving on Sunday? You might be there for a few days longer if this storm really gets up.

I stayed at this hotel last year and reckon you might be in for a boring time if you can't walk anywhere. Hope the internet and television hold out.

Im heading down to Providence Rhode Island on Sunday , so no need to worry about flights . I hopefully will have friends pick me up from Boston to take me down if the roads are open , otherwise , I will look to get the train down . If worse comes to worse , I have checked with the hotel & can extend another day @ The Doubletree. TV & internet are ok at the moment , but the worst of the storm is probably still 6 hours away .
