Although, something did just occur to me - how do I know which mob to look for?

Easy. You look for the mob who looks like they are looking for someone who looks confused as he does not know what the mob looks like. :p

Or you can ask at the bar for John. ;)
 
Or I'll just dress in such a way that I'll be obvious - but where to get a pink daisy buttonhole, a lime-green vinyl trench coat and a red tartan tam'o'shanter at this time of night?

I'm getting ready to leave work and head for the shindig. Be there about the same time as JohnK.

whereishome, we usually sit inside (due to the cold), walk past the bar and turn right (before yuo head into the gaming room). We will be at the long table next to the window. Trust me, we will be the biggest group in the bar, having a drink.
 
JohnK guessed that you would be late or a no-show (at 5.10pm over our first beer).

Was great to meet samh004's father and whereishome.

I got to meet most (if not all) of the attendees before I had to race off at 6pm.

They could still be going...well, my guess is serfty, JohnK and anat0l.
 
It was another good drinks night; good to see some old faces and some new people, I had to bail early as I had transport but it was good to catch up everyone.

I think Wednesday August 19 was suggested for next drinks as JohnK is a away from the end of August through to the end of September.
 
Yes, I will also be away 23 August to ~7 September. Then I may not be able to make the October drinks (as it will be very close to impending birth of #2).
 
Another great drinks night in Brisbane and good to catch up with everyone again and nice to meet steve and whereishome for the first time.

I did manage to find HK$20 Sam Adams in Wan Chai earlier in the week. But HK16 for Tsingtao to accompany my HK$38 fried noodles with beef was a good value dinner last night.
