Great evening.
Fantastic generosity by DJ and the wonderful team in The Lounge. The cake was a lovely touch, the ATR red velvet cupcakes were super yummy, the snackies delish, and the choices of wine was excellent.
Thanks to Storyteller for the lift to Southbank and Anat0l for the lift home.
Oh and happy birthday again Andrew!

Good to catch up with AFF's last night, and thanks to the Virgin lounge staff for taking good care of us, again. And the folk at the Satay Hut (Staff & Aff's) for being patient while we enjoyed the lounge for an extra hour!

Here I am

A huge thanks to VA and our lounge goddess in particular. When I arrived I noticed that there had been a VIP area roped of for us.

And then Annette turned up with a couple of bottles of diablo that she had managed to scrounge from other lounges!

After plying us with drink, Party pies and pizza she then went above and the call bringing out an awesome black forest cake (to go with the delicious ATR cupcakes!)

So needless to say we were a little late to satay hut. My apologies to the guys who went straight there and were editing for us. At least the food was delicious.

A final thanks to everyone for turning up (special guest appearance by VFF) and I can't forget to say thanks again for the presents I received.

Looks like it was an awesome night. I'm spewing that I'm in Perth this week and couldn't make it up to meet you guys. And what a great gesture by DJ to provide the cake, "VIP" area etc. Brilliant stuff.

Great to catch up with the gang as always & pick up some more valuable tips about status runs & the like. Thanks Samh004 for the tip re NAN/BNE/NAN J fares being better value than the one ways NAN/BNE & also to Storyteller for the tips on getting Platinum with IHG's Priority Club.

Thanks Keith009 for a new acronym "LBH" I can add to my vocab which came about during a discussion about some expats in DXB which by the way stands for Losers Back Home :shock:, how "W" Hotels absolutely rock & also for sharing why a shopping expedition to Salvatore Ferragamo is much more entertaining than a tour of the Sistine Chapel.

If you can find a parking spot there is no charge for meter parking from 1900-0700.

KarenS - good to have a laugh about things that happen on tours of duty.
