Mr!
I agree it is most frustrating but I found that if you log out and refresh the main page (reset all the cookies) the New Posts heading in the menu bar is replaced with Todays Posts.

Two basic ways...

  1. Bookmark the Link posted by MAL (I have on my FireFox Book marks Toolbar, adjacent to my Bookmarked "new Posts" link).
  2. From the Search Results page, click "[Discussion Board]" and when that page loads (normally quick) select "Quick links" and ""Today's Posts"

I just click on 'Community' and then 'Today's posts' appears as an option.

However i am now getting the first unread post on all threads and that is more important to me:)

New posts shows those you have not yet read. The can be a up to week in the past (or perhaps more).

"Today's Posts" shows all in the last 24 hours, whether you have read them or not.

Not sure if it is possible could admin just swap the function for each; so that Today's Posts become New Posts and vice versa.

This happened on another forum I frequent.

I ended up creating a bookmark for the "today's posts" search. So I use the bookmark as a one-click workaround.

The one for here is:

This no longer is working .

"Quick links" from the "[Discussion Board]" no longer has the "Today's Posts" option.

It has:
  • "Subscribed Threads",
  • "Open Contacts Popup",
  • "View Site Leaders" and
  • "Who's Online".

However, if you log out, "Today's Posts" appears in it's own right under "Discussion Board" in place of "New Posts".

This forum is getting more and more difficult to navigate.

The principle of KISS has been lost, and frankly is driving me away from the site due to the unease of navigation :(
