CSM Simone R (Bridbane base) on QF601 BNE/MEL this morning had her hands full with full compliment in J. She greeted each of us by babe without referring to iPad or manifest, very friendly and stopped by for a chat after service.

She was very familiar but she thinks I'm mistaking her for her sister who's an International CSM on A380's - I wasn't so sure. We lamented the upcoming school holidays...

Really?? Very friendly indeed, calling everyone 'babe', lol ;).

I had a female CSM on a flight this week call all the guys "Darling". Seemed very natural. Doubt a bloke could get away with it though!

On Tuesday I was greeted as "young fellow".Well I am still under 70........just.

So was your special meal loaded and served without incident?

My Fruit platter was stuffed up ..... QF don't know how to manage special requests at a high level yet.

The crew, without exception were amazing on 23/3 QF 656 from BNE to ADL. In 500+ flights, the most friendly

Lisa D on QF701 tonight - above and beyond normal QF service. It was one of the "When they are good they are bloody excellent" flights. Thank you Lisa

To the team on QF 1915 Karr-Per last night. About half way there was a medical emergency with a pax, used 2 oxygen bottles, requested if a doctor, nurse, paramedic on board (non of either) were on board. We were due to land about 1925, but the pilot can down from cruise very quickly and we landed at 1850, with paramedics waiting. The CSM requested that we all stay seated until she could talk with ground staff, a short delay and we were all able to depart. The CSM and cabin team and flight crew handled this very well. I don't know the outcome, but hope the pax recovers, she was in good hands.

Stories like this are a welcome reminder - to me at least - that no matter how nice it is to have your glass of wine refilled in a timely manner, what you really want are skilled flight and cabin crews that can handle any emergency. Great to acknowledge good service, but equally important to acknowledge calm handling of difficult situations.

Also hope the pax is OK.

Hats off the Adriek on a recent WLG to SYD flight. Despite some persistent turbulence he still managed a faultless J meal service and somehow at the same time ensured my champagne glass was never quite empty.

Plus he avoided the rather naff short sleeve male QF dress shirt and looked extremely professional at all times.

I'm also putting in a kudos through the Online form of doom however thought it couldn't hurt to bring up here.

The entire crew on QF585 ADL to PER yesterday were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and seemed to have a knack of knowing when miss 8 month old was ready to lose it as they would swing by and keep her entertained for a bit.

Thanks team!

(sorry I didn't get names, was only after we disembarked I thought about it! But I did tell the CSM on the way out that she had an awesome crew)

Hats off to Monika yesterday 4/04 on QF2051 - made me feel like a valued customer

had a call from Mrs KVK from LA, just flown in from NY, she was very impressed with Alex and Tristan in the J cabin, said she was well looked after. As had been said many times, when they are good.....

Not an FA but had to post this - the compliments are very genuine still!
My spouse was travelling alone for the first time today, June 1st, on QF1. Needless to say, flying alone with a 6 month old infant (who is restless because of teething) is a daunting experience for anyone, and she was nervous of course. However, she was extremely happy with the very caring help provided by Ms. Amy Cupples at the SYD airport QF International Business lounge before the flight. Ms. Cupples made sure my spouse had a pillow for easy breastfeeding, arranged a child playroom and playmat with toys for our son, and kindly served food and drinks; which helped relax my spouse and made sure our son was well rested and fed ahead of a long flight.
I've been a QF WP for 3 years and a frequent flyer for good part of a decade; and staff like Ms. Cupples are the key reason why Qantas is our preferred airline for family trips!

I had a system problem with my booking that required me to call into QF. Mary was the person I spoke to, and although she was a little inexperienced, she patiently persevered every avenue showing empathy and kindness until it was all solved. It took 145 minutes between being on hold for over an hour and working on it, but the outcome was positive. I hope the Red Roo would pass on my compliments.
