Thanks for the comments, both public and private. I appreciate them and I feel I need to respond.

I am pretty "thick skinned". I have LOVED AFF for years now. I am a little vocal on some issues and TBH in many ways I am pretty set in my ways.

I can cop a bit of flak here on the forum..... HOWEVER when I am attacked personally, via email, and VIA my staff, I have to draw the line.

I will not allow that to happen.

MANY AFF members have met me, have dined out, had a drink, been guested to lounges, etc, and I have enjoyed that a lot. I have flown interstate on a whim to catch up with people. I have offered my own apartment in Paris at ZERO charge to members I have NEVER met. I have put my "money where my mouth is" during the flood crisis.

Truthfully, I would consider myself to be generous with my time and my resources. I am just NOT happy to be vilified in any manner.

For those who know me, I am DEFO happy to continue catching up. Straitman... We MUST have that dinner some time.

If the 2 AFF members who consider it their duty to keep emailing me with rubbish, AND calling my Personal Assistant, cease their annoying actions, I would much rather hang around. I won't name you publically as I am not going to stoop to that level. I would just remind you that I am NOT prepared to accept any more of the unwanted contact.

I changed my log in name to be more invisible and it is only the dinners and drinks evenings where we are unmasked for a few hours.It was my family who wanted my log in changed because the power of search engines can stop anonymity. This is and should be a fun site with a wealth of ideas coming from the power of thinking.

That is terrible - I feel you should name them, not as revenge but as a public service for this forum community to be aware who the people are. How we deal with them is up to the community.

Frankly after reading this new information the only feelings I have right now are 'sick' and 'disturbed'.

bossreggie, whoever is perpetrating those acts against you can only be described as sick. I'm most disappointed it's come to this, and the cost is definitely detrimental to the AFF community.

I'm sorry... words cannot describe how shocked and angry I feel right now.

As someone who has immensely enjoyed reading your contributions on AFF I share the sense of outrage that
anat0l and others have expressed,I find it totally outrageous that any member of our AFF family would
lower themselves to the level of personal harassment,it is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE conduct and I publicly

I simply cannot find the words to express just how shocked and disgusted I am to hear that is happening.

While some members would call for the persons involved in this to be outed publicly, this could jeopardise any complaint bossregie might rightfully choose to make in respect of Criminal Code Act (Cwlth) 1995, under Schedule 1, 474.17 (Using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence).

For those who are not up to speed on telecommunications law, a carriage service is defined as means a service for carrying communications by means of guided and/or unguided electromagnetic energy. By virtue of the harassment occurring through the sending of an email or placement of a telephone call, this fits well within the definition of the criminal statute in respect of "Using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence".

In respect of similar offences using a postal service, these are dealt with under Criminal Code Act (Cwlth) 1995, under Schedule 1, 471.12.

To bossegie: I would advise you in the strongest of terms to file a Commonwealth crime complaint in respect of the actions of the two members who see fit to constantly harass you. Filing a Commonwealth crime complaint is simple, and can be done securely via the AFP website.

To the two members perpetrating this harassment: I doubt very much you have the technical competence to outwit the regulatory and prosecutorial powers of the AFP. Your actions are both reprehensible and illegal. I hope for your own sakes that you have the financial capacity to defend a federal criminal prosecution, because I dare say that you will be put through the ringer both personally and financially in a way that will significantly affect your livelihoods and employment prospects well into the future.

And if you are the perpetrators and don't like what I've written above, I dare you to come after me. I promise you this - if you make one attempt to yank my chain I will personally ensure your names and lives are mud in perpetuity. And that is a promise you can take to the bank.

Had no idea this was happening bossreggie, and concur that what you describe sounds like disgraceful behaviour.

I would far prefer that anyone behaving in this way was 'outed', and instead you remained an active member of AFF (but respect that you may not wish to out them).

I do look forward to sharing a beverage or two (or six :shock again, regardless of whether it's through AFF or otherwise. I'm sure you have the moral support of pretty much all AFF forum members.

It's not often that things shock me these days, but this has shocked me, and my initial reaction was much as medhead stated - WTF.

From a personal point of view, I hope you can find a way to hang around these parts, as I have always enjoyed your contributions to the board. I also hope that we can again have a meal or drinks again sometime.

I am unsure of all the particulars but I think admin should take this up as plenty of members here disclose personal information that we all hope is not mis-used.

I would agree with thewinchester that you should at least report the harassment to the local police in case it goes further you will have a paper trail.

Perhaps admin could "advise" the offending members that their behavior is not acceptable.

Hang in there boss and remember that the vast majority of people are good.

Wow. I've seen some pretty poor behaviour online, and some pretty low people. But this is shocking behaviour.

I agree with TheWinchester, report this to the authorities. All actions on AFF are logged with IP addresses. E-Mail's contain the IP address of the computer they are sent from. It can all be easily tracked/blocked. If they do anything after that, they can pretty much expect to go to court.

I haven't had the chance to meet up with you BossReggie, but I'm sure I'll run into you at a lounge somewhere, one day. Hope you stay around on AFF, and these low life people are brought to justice.

Sorry that it happened Bossreggie, but agreed with the others you should take some legal action and then report them to admin who should bar them from the site.

Am so upset you are leaving the community because of a few people this planet can do without. I was a regular here as well for a number of years and chucked it in quite some time ago due to the overt nastiness by certain users. I don't need it, especially at home. However what I experienced was not even in the league you have had to put up with. I really feel for you.

The break did me good. I check in here every few days but leave it at that. I have always kept out of contentious issues as you have.

Bossreggie you have always treated others here with the utmost respect and decency as well as generosity.

I believe very strongly in karma and you have so much good stuff coming your way so enjoy it!

bossreggie - you will be missed. Your opinions and life experience adds valuable data to threads you contribute to. And that's before we even start to think about the various things you've done for members of the community.

It is unfortunate that a couple of people aren't behaving like adults, but rather as petty children. I've been around long enough to have a few suspects in mind (based on previous behaviour I'm aware of), and I strongly suggest you contact Admin (at the least) to advise of the situation.

Good luck with everything, and I hope the people involved start growing up quickly.
