Why is it, that booking from an iPhone (via the internet) attracts a higher fare than booking from the office computer (via the internet)?

It includes the $4.50 per sector credit card surcharge up front rather than waiting until payment confirmation.

I think it's far more transparent than other airlines booking sites.

Not from your iPhone (or your Mac for that matter). Poli requires special software and it's only available for Windows desktop computers.
