Qantas 1.jpgQantas 2.jpgHi all,When I was booking my flights today, I was doing a couple of dummy bookings to see how much points will cost on certain dates, in doing this I noticed there was no difference in Y/J/F(where avail), and i also notice only tax was charged, I quickly did a booking as this happened before and thought nothing much of it as usually it doesnt proceed further, however in this case, after entering my card details the booking shows up on my profile as confirmed and I only paid taxes, called Qantas however they passed me on to their reservations team which took 9999 years.and they said looks like its confirmed because it comes up as confirmed? However the CS doesnt really seem confident and i'd thought I'd share and get some thoughts from all of you and if anyone else had similar experiencesYay for me? :D

Damn

They seem to have fixed that up now lol

Good luck let us know please

I wouldnt be calling them again to point it out if I were you :p

It hasn't been ticketed as yet (only select seats option showing) and I doubt it will be.

That would be the one and only time i'd be happy to pay an "administration" fee etc..

I just rang the CS again and they told me I am allocated by defult to 12A and 14A.
On a seperate note. I also have an F booking to LHR paying 40k points and 400 in taxes.

Both Bookings Seems confirmed, however I have yet to receive an email with itenary.
Charge has been taken out of the Credit card,

Will keep you guys posted.

I shouldve taken the citibank price match as insurance for the bookings :p

Is that the case for all bookings?

Do overseas bookings show the cancel / change options? (I do have ticket numbers)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have found that with unticketed 081- bookings only the [Select Seats] option shows.

Once the ticket is issued, other options do show, such as [Change Flights] and [Cancel], sometimes greyed out.

Will be interested to see how this goes. Could be the cheapest SCs ever!

Should've booked it in First via SYD on the A380, with transits in at least ADL, CBR, BNE, HBA, and a hotel night somewhere before arriving in SYD for the connection. :D

I wonder if someone at Qantas is going to use SQL to find out who has managed to book flights for 0 points + tax only?

I'm wondering whether it has something to do with the flights being CX codeshares ?Hasn't CX recently changed their booking engine ? maybe that's where the issue is.
Cheers

Any update as my brother is in the same boat! 0 points + taxes only SYD to SNG return in J for him and his girlfriend :)

Thanks

But are any of these going through to ticketing? It's one thing to have a reservation and another to have an e-ticket.

My brother just called me and said he just got the e-ticket in the mail and check my trip shows it :)

Lucky b*stard!!!!!
