Hi there,

currently planning a little Oceania / Micronesia trip and looking at various destinations.

According to the Qantas website, Classic Reward flights are available for international flights on PX and FJ, however a lot of destinations (TKK/AWP/CXI etc) don't even come up in the online booking engine.

Before I call, does anyone have experience booking reward flights in that area? Is it easy enough, availability etc? Any insights appreciated.

Thanks!

Seems not.

ExpertFlyer tells me that FJ uses U and X.

Not sure about PX.

No experience booking reward flights on PX, but plenty of experience with FJ. I live in a destination served by FJ that is not included in any QF online search, so I use AwardNexus to check availability before calling. It has never let me down. I have rarely had any problems accessing award seats - the lack of availability online means that few people know what's there. Given that FJ fares on this route are through the roof (no competition) it has also been great value as far as points spend is concerned.

In general, PX has award availability in Y (including to some destinations that don't appear on the Qantas website). I don't think I've ever seen J seats available.
