I will be needing to book a J flight Dubai to BNE return next year. ( I have all the other flights booked with points ) Can anyone suggest an easy way to see when a good price becomes available. Is there something I could sign up to that would let me know when Qantas has a special out of Dubai? I can't see to find one of QF web site although I do receive such notices about UK specials.

Thank you for anyone who can help me with this.

Qantas don't fly from Dubai to Brisbane, unless you want to go via SYD/MEL.
If you're not trying to maintain a high status with QFF - I'd look at going Emirates (and credit the flights to ek), which fly to Brisbane and are much cheaper in J than a Qantas flight#.

If you're after oneworld flights - CX often has ripper deals out of dubai in J

I find it perculiar that QF dont have a uae domained site.

The only other suggestion I had was to check regularly on matrix.itasoftware.com (but you have to check manually - not a set and forget process).

Aboviously also look at J on EY/VA ex AUH (not that that helps with QF/Oneworld).

Thanks for all your suggestions.

I am QF Gold, only fly for pleasure and trying to keep my status and maximise points. I hadn't thought about using CX but I guess I would have to go via HK rather than direct to BNE.

Maybe if I could watch out for a good EK deal, Qantas may have one at the same time so I could book with QF but fly EK metal. Hence my original question, which is how to keep up to date with specials from Dubai. I travel overseas frequently so manually looking up isn't always practical. It would be great to get an email on specials originating from Dubai. I wonder if there is such a thing?

There's an iphone app for itasoftware if that helps....
