Boeing 787 Lands in Japan for Flight Tests

Boeing Co.’s 787 landed in Japan early today to start a weeklong dress rehearsal with All Nippon Airways Co., signaling the end is near on a delay of more than three years for the world’s first composite-plastic jet.

The Dreamliner, which landed at Tokyo’s Haneda airport, will make test flights on ANA’s normal domestic routes, with pilots and mechanics from both companies working alongside each other. The exercise will ensure the plane can fit into airport parking slots and use boarding bridges and fuel hoses, said Megumi Tezuka, an airline spokeswoman.

Hahaha I can't help but think this when I read that its a Composite Plastic shell - its the new Boeing 787 - by Tuppaware!

I knew it was all too good to be true,just when I thought the delays were almost over Boeing has announced the following-

Boeing has instituted an approximately one-month hold on the 787 final assembly line and a halt in structural deliveries to its Everett factory due to supplier part "spot shortages" and "remaining engineering changes", the company confirms, another in a series of halting stops and starts as the production system works to get beyond two aircraft per month.
