My grandmother had a vinyl BOAC bag, was sort of a sports bag (cylindrical shape) in white with blue BOAC lettering and that flying bird logo they had. I remember 'cos she kept a few board games in it.

Just now I was trying to Google something similar to what I remember, and there are a bunch of "retro" bags available with similar logos etc, on sites called things like bondstyle.com ...

Yes, indeed. the BOAC Vickers VC10 was my first international travel chariot. We traveled Brisbane, Darwin, Djakata (as it was known by its Dutch spelling at back then), Singapore, Calcutta (as it was known last century), Dubai, Kuwait, London. I was invited to the flight deck on the Singapore to Calcutta sector and was allowed to sit in the captain's seat and to gentle steer left and right.

There is a BOAC/Cunard livery VC10 in static display at Duxford Imperial Warm Museum - at least it was there 22 years ago when I last visited .
