Hello all,

I have between 4:30pm and 8pm at Brisbane domestic airport. Travelling with no checked baggage on a Thursday.

Are there any status runs I could fit in that time that you're aware of? Trying to retain Platinum on QF and VA so either airline will do as will JQ on a status earning fare. (realising this is a QF thread). I appreciate any help :)

Chris.

At this stage what ever I can get my hands on. VA shouldn't be an issue, but at the moment QF is hundreds short. Have until May for both so just going to try and rack up a few extras while I can, if it's feasible. Every SC counts I guess.

How about BNE 1645 QF2358 - ROK 1820 QF2359 - BNE 1930. Hardly a economical Status Run $$ wise, but may do the job. Needs to be booked as 2 x one ways as the MCT is not met in ROK, but I suspect it is the same plane, so no fear of missing the return flight.

BNE-ROK is doable in that timeframe.

It was $75 one way on current sale but I think goes up to $109 one way outside of sales and earns 10 SCs one way. Flexible is ~$230 one way and earns 20 SCs one way.

What is your final destination from
Bne at 8pm? If SYD then beware late arrival as 30min between art Bne and depart ) will mean you mis-connect and run into curfew issues with SYD.

Delays at that time of the evening in BNE are fairly chronic (ask JohnK!), but they often change a/c to get the last syd flights out in time so you can't rely on the onward flight being late too.

Thanks for he tipoff team! I guess it's too much to ask if any jet services are avail within the timeframe?

Jet services would be limited to SYD, MEL, ADL, PER, DRW, TSV and CNS.

Realistically you could do BNE-SYD return in ~4:00 hours beggining with the 4:25pm flight BNE-SYD and returning on the 8:05pm flight SYD-BNE and would get back to BNE ~8:35pm which is outside the timeframe you mention.

To attempt TSV would require more time if you leave with 4:55pm flight BNE-TSV and return on the 7:35pm flight TSV-BNE but you wouldn't get back to BNE until ~9:25pm.

Some, though not all the BNE-ROK and BNE-MKY flights are B717 with QF and Embraers with VA. The ROK flight mentioned by Aus ATC above is generally a Dash-8.
