Also has nice views, free parking. Beats fighting with Saturday city traffic. Straight shot to / from the airport.

I've been to Byblos for our staff Xmas party 2 years ago. Was great meal (lunch) - have the photos somewhere. Still a maybe...

As far as venues go, there is plenty of good choices (pub/Chinese/Mexican/Sushi/Italian/other) on Oxford Street in Bulimba. Parking no problem and accessible by City Cat/Ferry.
 
Love that Mexican place in Bulimba. We just need to make the venue appealing location wise so it's not too far for attendees to come.

I've only had coughtails at Byblos but have always heard good reports about the food. I have to disagree about the Belvedere. Mrs_O and I have a very poor experience there and walked out without having eaten. We ended up going to the little Mexican fast food place around the corner which was much more satisfying.
 
My cousin's birthday celebration has been scheduled for this day, so I might have to give this a miss.
 
In MEL, and would be at a wedding if we were in BNE.
 
The jetty in bulimia is good too.
My only problem with bulimia is the awful parking options.

Tongue-in-cheek deliberate misspelling? Parking isn't really that bad. Oxford Street itself can be awkward but there are plenty of side streets and no parking meters.

Jetty is nice, but we would need to book if that becomes the chosen venue.
