Think it's the airport doing this not Qantas... And it's better than no lounge for 3+months.

And remember in Sydney they've just moved into a temporary lounge that's been described as having the vibe of a school cafeteria.

Well in Syd I have the F lounge!

This is an airline with significant market power over an airport with significant real estate. If they wanted they could either have improved the lounge experience (I don't know, maybe better than $15 sparkling for P?), offered something else airside (even a holding pen with light refreshments) or both. They don't see the need.

I would love to think @FlyandStay's experience was because of a late delay but my own QF experience would suggest 70 minutes is 70 minutes! Who at the gate would think to coordinate with the lounge? Pretty appalling and a big reason to avoid BNE QF.

Interesting comment has appeared on lounge page that for those in an international connection to approach the transfer desk for more information.

I wonder if they provide those in international transit a voucher for either food or another lounge?

Seems like it’s a $25 voucher and that’s it. Sure it’s better than nothing but still I think access to a different lounge or higher amount would be better.

They have had Piper-Hiedsick behind the bar for anyone who asks politely for years.

Switched last year to Lallier, the same stuff served in the SYD/MEL F lounges.

I have an upcoming domestic flight out of BNE (ironically with an onwards connection to an international flight) but may not have time to try it out

Did this lunge on 20 April. Clearly building works for the airport. Go down to the A check in area and look for the building works hoarding.

They told me 30 minutes before listed boarding time. I left early anyway as I had an appointment with TRS. A wifi mesh system played merry havoc with security screening... but that's another story.
There was priority screening and the BP had the logo.

I then proceeded to plaza premium thanks to AMEX plat....

I have had champagne my last 3 flights from Brisbane.

They have had Piper-Hiedsick behind the bar for anyone who asks politely for years.

Can confirm it’s Lallier behind the bar if you ask for champagne. But otherwise, frankly, the lounge sucks. The food was a step back from the DOM J spread the day before. And they’re calling boarding with enough time for you to spend 40 minutes at the gate..

I was turned away this morning prior to a domestic flight but with an onwards international connection. Couple ahead in front of me was also turned away as they were travelling on JQ but claimed they didn't receive any notification.

Lounge dragon mentioned capacity to the couple on JQ in front of me even though there shouldn't be any impact from escalator replacement? I did scan my boarding pass but she noticed I was on a domestic flight and directed me to Domestic instead.
