Thanks all for a good night, it was great to catchup and surprising to see how far some had travelled. Hope we will soon see another similar event where members provide us with memoirs of a wonderful Qantas trip to new lands!

A good night had by all. It was great to catch up with some old and new friends.

Thanks to Markis10 and Lindsay Wilson for sharing their experiences of QF1 and Dubai.

And Cafe Specific certainly does have a 'challenging' job. ;)

Glad you all had a good evening and sorry for not making the effort. I am still recovering from a weekend in ADL and a couple of days in McLaren Vale.

Great night, I think I got there just after 6:00pm, just arrived soon after Lindsay arrived.

We had to move locations as our dinner location ended up getting to noisy.

Thanks to Lindsay for sharing the photos with us plus some extra commentary from Markis10.

Also I think Lindsay learned something from the night, how to use tether yourIphone to get your Ipad Mini to work

Until I get my EEG and am cleared to drive I hope.

Have a number now for a Brisbane-based neurologist so hopefully I can get back on the road sooner.

Damn, I only just realised that I was going to take a photo at the second bar, but completely forgot :eek:

Was nice to meet new (and see old) AFF friends.

JohnM, who came all the way from PER on a JASA run, nice to meet you and look forward to seeing you in PER later this year (just not May).

Cafe Specific, who may be the organiser for an AFF run in the not so distant future - get that web site working again ;)

Simo, coming by train all the way from the Sunshine Coast - hope you made the last train home (and hopefully you did as well Bundy Bear)

JessicaTam, keep that red on hold. We will inbibe it. Trust your Hilton stay was relaxing. Diamond here you come :D

anat0l, thanks for sharing the ride home. A little warmer and as usual, learnt something from our discussion.

markis10, the Platinum without a shadow, thanks for your additional recall of events on the trip.

There are some names to photos now in post #84. Was great to share more photos and memories of Dubai. Have to get those videos posted to YouTube.

Sorry- wrong- no flat white for you!!! I think every wrong answer warrants a Starbucks card (for me, or course, because I'm very specific about my coffee)!

Sorry, had one of my team (whi is about to report to another manager) up here for training Thurs-Fri, so I got a leave pass and we went out for dinner at River Bar Thurs night. Damn shame to have missed it!

I can definitely say it was an excellent night and LW did a fantastic job recounting the trip with photos, generously garnished with the typical LW aplomb (and JessicaTam calling out the sharp shots from the bar (a la The Footy Show if you don't catch the reference) :p)
