Blue to Silver fast track offer

Really, what is the difference between silver and blue? I have dropped back to silver from gold (with a 4 stay promo to regain, only 1 more stay to go), and I in the three stays as a silver, I am struggling to see if there is any advantage to being silver compared to being blue or indeed a non HHonors member (the Hhonors points bonus is trivial)

Being Silver gives you access to the VIP only awards. Makes a difference if you're transferring in points from AA or Amex Membership Rewards.

No, what I meant was he posted that he was not actually offered the fast track, so he called, asked for and was granted one.
Its common knowledge in these parts that people can call up and ask for challenges. However I fail to see how this would be of any relevance to the discussion at hand, let alone what I saw as associating a negative connotation with a member doing so if they did.

I can confirm that in my situation I neither asked, requested, suggested, hinted, noted, commented, communicated, wrote, faxed, hell - pick any word you want for any form of benefit of privilege of the Hilton HHonours program. This was a straight up and down offer, out of the blue and unexpected, plain and simple.

If straitman or any other member got the same or another offer, I would by default assume, unless stated otherwise, they received it without any prodding, poking or communication with the chain in question to receive such a benefit.

Certainly my fast track came without any poking or prodding by me. However, had I gone down that path, it would be useful to be armed with the information about what others were currently being targeted with. Hence my comment about it being useful to know what offers Hilton are throwing around.

Agreed. It's always good to know what are the reasonable limits or what else has been put on the table, and I wouldn't disagree with the ability of someone to ask for something (you don't get if you don't ask). I just didn't like what I interpreted as a negative dispersion being cast on another member of the community if they had done so.

Sso ddo I ...

...and that my well be a useful thing to do if you are planning 7 stays in the required time. For others, 7 stays may be a bit of a stretch. Offering 3 stays to silver or 4 stays to gold may encourage these people to have an extra stay.

In my experience Blue and Silver appears to have the same benefits. Nil.
